"Propack provides warehousing and shipping logistics for small businesses. They tried to use an existing software package, but their business model is so unique that the product they picked simply could not meet their needs. They engaged The Socrates Group to build a custom solution we called Propack 3rd Party Logistics (P3PL) that now runs their entire fulfillment business. P3PL has radically increased their fulfillment capacity, reduced the costs of order processing, radically cut the time needed to produce customer invoices, and greatly improved customer service by providing each customer with their own portal into P3PL.

P3PL is build on The Socrates Group’s Podium framework."

"Barron Heating asked The Socrates Group to build a laptop-based tool that would allow their sales persons to create and print customer orders in the field. The orders are synchronized with Barron’s master database when the sales persons return to the Barron office. This tool has improved the profitability of each order while reducing both the time and the training necessary to create orders, and has generated data that allows Barron to track sales person productivity and effectiveness."

"The Socrates Group developed TimeSaver is to manage its internal time and client billings. TimeSaver allows engineers to quickly and easily post their time on client projects. Management can then approve and bill the time and post invoices to Great Plains in just a few mouse clicks. Timesaver includes contact, task and document management capabilities and is built on the Socrates Group’s Podium framework."

"Barlean’s manufactures and distributes organic products to the health food market. They use Microsoft Great Plains to handle their accounting and order processing; however, the actual printing of invoices and picking tickets was too complicated. The Socrates Group was engaged to create a desktop tool to integrate with Great Plains and create and print selected invoices and picking tickets. This tool has become central to Barlean’s daily order processing system."

"Brambleberry is a highly successful seller of soap making supplies. Their web site is well known and highly effective; however, it could not keep or manage available inventory quantities. As a result, people were submitting orders that could not be completely fulfilled. The Socrates Group was engaged to completely replace Brambleberry’s existing website without changing the look and feel of the site, and to integrate the resulting site into Quick Books to automatically capture customer orders."

Although this tool has not yet been deployed, we were asked to produce several marketing web sites for Sicklesteel which greatly improved their market visibility."
